<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ZPirtle</b></div><div>I never said the trades weren't fair. I said they don't add value to the team, very different.
Since we're now talking "fair trades," you believe a 4th round pick helps balance out the trade between two mid-20's AHL all stars? Boucher already came to Nashville, scored 1 goal in 3 games, but I guess that's a 4th round pick more impressive than Carr's 1 goal in 11 games. This trade does nothing to help the NHL roster short or long term, and therefore, adds no value.
Trading Rinne is a slap in the face to everything he's done for the franchise on and off the ice, especially for another borderline AHL guy and a couple of picks. I realize he's had a sharp decline this year, but he's only got 1 year left, and the mentorship to Saros is another factor to be considered. This trade does nothing to help the NHL roster short or long term, and therefore, adds no value.</div></div>
first off, te carr/Boucher trade is to spark up their game and by trading them, maybe they can prove that hey can play in the, it gives them another chance, the reason why I added a 4th rounder is that Boucher had a better season than carr did. as for urine, they might trade him but I believe that saros is ready to play as a number one goalie.

its a trade to let other players have a chance to play in the nhl, y swapping them it both gives them new opportunities,

Maybe this extended shutdown is what he needs to rest his body, and refocus his mental game for next season. If I were a GM with a young, not totally proven starter, I'd be interested in Rinne as a mentor/backup for him. I don't think the Sabres are the right fit, because they still have Hutton for another year, but the Flyers or Canucks are examples of teams that might be. I have no idea what fair value for Rinne is right now.
It's all academic anyway. Rinne's got a NMC, and there's next to no chance he asks for a trade. He'll retire a Pred.</div></div>
he probably retire a pred but if he had to be traded, and that sabres had a good season, rinne could be interesting for them

2019-20 Neilson has 9 points to Abdelkader's 3.
2018-19 Neilson had 35 points to Abdelkader's 19.
2017-18 Neilson had 33 points to Abdelkader's 35.
2016-17 Neilson had 41 points to Abdelkader's 21.</div></div>
neilson still has a bigger contract and abdelkader is a better leader than neilson and there will be a lot of young guys

In the past 2 years he's missed an average of 30 games per season, or 39%.</div></div>

(2) The statement that I argue every single decision and every trade you do is demonstrably and objectively false; I've commented on only two of the 11 teams you've posted so far, and my comment regarding this Dallas team cannot be construed as negative by even the most sensitive flower because all I did was point out the advantage of signing Cirelli for 5 years instead of 4. Over-reaching statements like that make you sound as if you can't stand any differing, let alone opposing, viewpoint, which implies a rather narrow mind.
(3) Opinions of people who have followed the sport for more than 40 years are generally given more weight than the opinions of less experienced fans. That's just natural, because the <em>a priori</em> expectation is that the voice of experience is more likely to be right than the voice of inexperience. The principle is true not just in hockey fandom but life at large, so you had better get used to it. Your only defense is to become knowledgeable yourself, which can only be achieved with an open mind. And here's something that may not have occurred to you: the one thing that all my experience has taught me is that I can be wrong, and others can be right, about anything.</div></div>
i told you that you were right about the cirelli signing but i think your a bit too old and that the game has changed

I also heard landeskog wanted to get out of Colorado and that he was supposed to be traded at the deadline but it didn't happen, and I thought that it could make sense that puljujarvi would get traded for that kind of player with extra weapons such as being which is a solid third pair defense.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Is this a language problem? I didn't say that there was no point in signing Cirelli; I said that there was no point in signing him for 4 years instead of 5. Let me try it again a different way: signing Cirelli is a good idea, but you should sign him for 5 years, not 4. Signing him for only 4 years lets him go directly to free agency.
I don't think that your purposely mis-stating what I said; I have the feeling that my meaning isn't getting across to you, perhaps because English is not your first language. That's okay; if you were writing in French, I would have difficulty understanding every nuance of what you were trying to express.</div></div>
ok I agree with you with the Cirelli signing but don't come out here as an old guy who thinks knows everything about the sport and all the players, when u build a team, u cant just have offensive forwards and some offensive defensemen, you need some balance and you have to pay those players at the right price. you argue every single decision I do and every single trade, instead of just arguing, look at it first, and analyze it so you understand where I'm getting the ideas from, unless your some scout for a NHL team, I don't see how your opinions are better and that my trades and signings are bad.

Jenner is better then Faska and is a very good 3rd line center who’s been forced to play 2nd line but is better as a shut down defensive center and Columbus already has Nash as a 4th line center.
Also the fact that you put Bjorkstrand on the 4th line shows how little you know about Columbus. Bjorkstrand and Texier was great with PLD on the 1st line when they played together. Plus Foudy will likely make the team next season.</div></div>
faksa has had a lot more power on a third then Jenner and at a smaller contract, and if you open your eyes a little bit, you see te bjorkstrand and texier are on LINE 3, which is a pretty good composition.
